I worked as a Rural Financial Counsellor (RFC) for 11 years, having worked in this role in offices in SE Queensland, Central West , North West, Lower Hunter Region, Queanbeayan Region, Southern Tablelands NSW .
I thoroughly enjoyed the role, helping primary producers with their financial situation through difficult times, especially after floods, droughts, and the bushfires in 2019 and 2020.

I immigrated in 2000 from a farming property in Zimbabwe with my then-husband Martin and two children: 15-year-old Nicola and 13-year-old Stuart.
In Australia, I obtained my Business Degree from University Southern Queensland with a Major in Administrative Management, Diploma in Community Services for Financial Counselling, Certificate IV Training and Assessment and a Mediation Certificate of Assessment, Bond University, Facility of Law.
Before working as an RFC, I served in numerous roles in agricultural companies around the country, including:
Passionate about the primary producer industry and having worked in the RFCS, I became aware and concerned about the next Rural Generation. I am currently working on a project which earned me a finalist spot in the 2016 Rural Woman’s AgriFutures NSW-ACT Award and 2022 AgriFutures Rural Women's Acceleration Grant

I owned and operated, in partnership, a small property in Narrabri where I ran a stud Dorper sheep flock and grew cereal crops. I have since moved to Canberra to be closer to my two grandchildren Charlie and Gemma.
Despite my choice to live closer to the city, I still enjoy outdoor living, trout fishing, and have a Kenya Top Bar Beehive. I also possess a great passion for the farming and look forward to helping others as a meditator/ facilitator with my experience in this area.
